Puente is a two-semester program designed to increase the number of Latino and other students who successfully transfer to a four-year college/university, complete their degrees, and to return to the community as mentors and leaders of future generations. Puente is open to all students. In the Fall, Puente includes English 105 and Counseling 1. In the Spring, Puente includes English 1. Puente students also receive a mentor and participate in tutoring, academic counseling, and motivational activities outside of class. Puente students must be eligible for English 105.
